WoooooHooooooo their here jaffa and lardy pt5

November 07.......

Well, the birdies have declared themselves at home now i think, still very vocal and still learning to play, but they have thoroughly investigated every square inch of their aviary, and have even started to eat some of it

We have now slightly boarded up one side of the aviary at the end where the hole goes into the shed, just to keep the wind from blowing into the hole, its also where the climbing tree is so it gives them added shelter when its cold we have a hatch that covers the hole too, so that keeps the chill out, as we close that every night now the colder weather is here they have lined their nest with lots of feathers and are getting a little flirty,

Well the male is lardy, hes trying his hardest to force feed her and try to court with her, but shes not playing ball as much as hed like its very funny to watch, as she just runs away lol, i dont think anything will come of it,
i just think they are confused by the weather, a friend of mine has black headed caiques too, and they are doing the same thing,

Im not sure how long it is we have had them now, but the aviary already needs some running repairs so.......i can feel a trip to B&Q for some mr angle iron i think, little buggers......

What i have decided to do with this diary, is update it monthly, so on the last day of each month ill let you know how its gone for them and what they have been into, but of course, if there are any questions, dont hestate to ask..........thats all for now from the world of jaffa and lardy
