WoooooHooooooo their here jaffa and lardy pt3

14-9-07.....................Friday

Hi guys,......everything is still going as we had hoped, if not better, they are just so comfortable in their new surroundings,and with us too, they are coming out of their shells, day by day,

I think they have played with all of their toys that are hanging now, and gradually,are starting to explore the floor toys too, i keep catching one looking up the pipe, im sure ill find one dissapeared up it soon lol,
and the hen is still, occassionally, on her terms, taking food from my hand, the male keeps displaying and shouting when she does i think hes shouting "nooooooooooooooo its a trap" lol,

I just cant stop watching them, they love flying around their flight, but it seems the hen has her most favourite hobby at the moment of scratching on the floor, so deep in the bark, she almost dissapears lol,

They have stopped showing signs of breeding behaviour now, i just think they were looking for reassurance of each other and re-confirming their bond after the stress of being moved and were confused, which suits me, i would rather wait 5 years for babies and know they felt secure, than have them now and something happened to put them off,

They are just starting a moult at the moment, so are looking pretty drab and pinny bless them, but they are changing, the male now has tiny yellow patches that have emerged on his shoulders, they weren't there before im sure, well they have been with us now for several weeks,and we are still following our very strict quarentine together with very strict hygiene, as with all our birds, in the short amount of time they have been here, they have certainly won a very special place in our hearts, and wether they breed or not, they will stay with us for life, they have certainly won us over big time,
