WoooooHooooooo their here jaffa and lardy pt2

3-9-07.................Tuesday

The last few days have been fantastic, the little guys are really starting to come out of their shells,they have got into their own little routine now,
we feed them in the mornings at around the same time, and there they are waiting for us,and as soon as we unlock the swing feeder,they make these little noises, like they are getting all excited, and the male hops all around his climbing tree lol bless him,

At around lunchtime, they usually have around and hours playtime,its great watching them rolling around on their backs playing footsies lol,
its very weird how they know the time..........everyday between 5 to and 5 past 12......,
then its time for a bath,we have given them a big dish hanging from the top of the aviary to bath in,but they prefer to use their water bowl lol ...........they just use the hanging dish as a perch lol,

I dont think they have ever had the oppurtunity to play, as its taken them a long time to get the hang of what to do with their toys,
then after a hard days singing hopping and sunbathing, its off to the nest box,at around six they go back in their box, and for the next hour or so they spend playing and preening each other, then at around 7.30,its time for bed,

We really feel very priveleged to be able to watch them,it really does warm your heart to see how they are with each other,its beautiful,
...every day we spend a little time with them just to be near them and get them used to us ........................and today i was talking to them and whistling with them, as they seem to prefer me qiuetly whistling rather than talking,they seem to be calmer,when the hen came very close to me and seemed very interested in me, my fella had been watching from the back door and threw me a walnut,....................and omg SHE TOOK IT FROM MY HAND................ all i wanted to do was jump up and down, so all i could do was stand there beaming giving my fella thumbs up lol ..................so he threw me a piece of dried apricot..............................AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SHE TOOK THAT TOO
,so now i was sooooooooo excited i had to go inside to do a little jumping around, lol,

So.....that is where we are today, it will be 2 weeks tomorrow since weve had them, i didnt dream i would be able to do that so quickly,

Ill try to continue hand feeding her for the next few days,and see if i can get her comfortable with trying to get a bit of vid of me doing it

.............anyway, thats where we are today............cant wait to see what happens next.
