The story of Jasper the Black Headed Caique Part 6 Told by his owner David Pell Jasper's Amazing Adventure, Visiting my home to be..... Jasper here - wow, I've just had an amazing adventure - I visited my new home to be! Saturday night, my step-dad took me in a funny little carrier box to see Dad at his home. It was all very exciting. First he put me in this strange metal box with wheels on, it made all kinds of strange noises and vibrated. Every now and then it seemed to change direction - this made me feel kinda giddy and to my indignation, made me fall over! It was also necessary for Lilly and Murphy my two step aunt and uncle African Greys to say hello to me. I think I managed to frighten Murphy a bit as he backed away - I can't even begin to imagine why this would be as he was more than twice my size and who could possibly be afraid of me! My step-dad was so excited and couldn't wait to take me out of my box - oh no, more pictures I thought - but no, I managed to have a good clamber around first. Just as I was beginning to scale my step-dad's body, I saw a place to hide to escape the camera, only thing was, I couldn't get away quick enough.....
They all started laughing at me, I wriggled about as much as I could, but unfortunately the pocket was too small and I had to be rescued. It's a shame though as it really did look super comforable. I then managed to have a good look around on the floor and was grabbed by my dad for a quick head scratch. My new mum said that me and Dad would look super together, so she took yet another picture to mark the occasion. As you can imagine, it was all very tiring so I had to do what all good caiques just love to do and put my feet up and relax. As you can see, my belly is still a pale lemon colour - apparently, when I'm older it will be snow white. That's a shame though - I like being a caique, I don't want to have 7 dwarves following me around
My adventure did make me very tired - after all, I'm still only little! I went to sleep and woke up in my own little bed back at my step dads. I'll be back soon to report my latest mischief. love and hugs Jasper x Jasper the Black Headed Caique Story is told by and ©copyright of David Pell, as are the images.
