    Jasper at Home!

Told by his proud owners David And Sarah

Settling In and Making New Friends, How I'm finding my new home

    Hi Guys
Jasper here, I've finally been let loose again!

Well, I've been in my new home now for what seems like... er... forever actually! I've worked out a couple of things.....

    1. Learn how to work your humans well, by this I mean, if you're hungry, shout really loud - it's amazing, it works all the time!

    2. If you want the most attention, play the hardest - I find the best way of doing this is by dangling upside down on a piece of leather and playing with a wiffle ball. The more I swing from side to side, the more attention I get.

    3. If someone sits next to me and I chat nicely to them, or even nibble at their clothing, I get to come out of my cage quickly.

See, I'm smart, so it didn't take me long to figure these things out.

I guess my most favourite time of day though is breakfast. It's a time of great hilarity. My ugly sisters (Murphy and Lilly) make lots of noise and get fed first - this doesn't really bother me as I know that I rule the roost really coz next, my cage door is opened and I fly through into the kitchen so i can fetch my breakfast. I'm getting really good at this now, only once have I managed to land in the sink, it was a little soggy in there!!!

Dad soon sorted me out though and wrapped me up in a towel to get warm. I looked a bit like something called a sausage roll - although don't ask me what one of them is.

Mum and Dad took me on an outing earlier this week to someone called the Vet. He was a great chap, he took me out of my box and allowed me to fly around. He gave my head a scratch and admired my plumage then proclaimed that I was a great little fellow and looked in good condition and looked well. Well, I could have told him that! I look great. Mum and Dad said though that they just wanted to make sure that I was healthy and that they wanted me to have a check over - not sure why they didn't just ask me though, silly fools!

I guess it's better though that they care.

Well, I'm going to go off and play a little more, but I'll leave you with a quick picture that mum took from her mobile phone - it's a little over exposed, but I look great anyway.
